Arizona Girls Lacrosse Youth Recreational Grant Policy
Purpose:
Arizona Girls Lacrosse (“AGLAX”) is committed to growing the game by supporting local girls’ recreational lacrosse leagues for ages 4–9. This policy establishes guidelines for distributing annual grant funds to assist with league development and player recruitment.
Grant Structure
- Established Recreational Leagues (Ages 4–9):
- $200 grant available to leagues that have been in operation for at least one full season.
- New Recreational Leagues (Ages 4–9):
- $300 grant available to leagues starting their first season.
- Recruitment Requirement:
- Grant funds are intended to support league growth, which includes coaches or league representatives visiting local elementary schools to recruit players.
Annual Funding Cap
- Total grant distributions under this policy are capped at $3,000 per fiscal year.
- Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual cap is reached.
Renewal and Financial Approval
- This grant program is not automatically renewed.
- Each year, the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Board of Directors must review the organization’s financial standing and approve renewal of the program and its funding cap.
Application Process
- Leagues must submit a short application to the AGLAX Board outlining:
- League status (new or established).
- Number of participants in the 4–9 age group.
- Recruitment efforts, including school visits.
- Applications will be reviewed and approved by the AGLAX Board or its designated Grants Committee.
Accountability
- Grant recipients must provide a brief year-end report describing how funds were used and their recruitment outcomes.
- Failure to submit a report may result in ineligibility for future grants.
